The all-new Civic Type R introduces a newly developed single-scroll turbocharger that’s smaller and lighter, with improved rotational response and increased torque.
Rear Spoiler
The rear spoiler—the mark of the Civic Type R—forms a winged cross-sectional shape with a carefully calculated angle of attack. A lightweight aluminum die-cast stay is used to achieve powerful downforce and low drag.
19-Inch Wheels
The 265-millimeter-wide tires were developed exclusively for the Civic Type R. Lightweight, high-rigidity 19-inch aluminum wheels with a reverse rim structure provide excellent ground contact and high-grip performance.
Exhaust
In addition to the original powerful exhaust sound, the active exhaust valve mechanism tunes the opening according to the engine speed. The active sound control boosts the cabin sound, generating an exhaust sound that intensifies as you step on the accelerator.

Honda LogR™
The Civic Type R dedicated data logger app, Honda LogR™, is standard and accessible through the 9-inch color touch-screen. In addition to saving driving data, it automatically analyzes and scores the data, helping you understand your driving characteristics and learn the skills to drive more stably and efficiently, and—on closed courses—faster, too. It’s also equipped with a full-scale circuit driving data-analysis function with automatic lap-time measurement.

Honda LogR™ Smartphone App
On-board video taken with a smartphone can be combined with running vehicle data to create an exciting video experience. You can even upload your driving data to review and compare with other users’ data on your smartphone.
4-Mode Drive System
The new Individual mode lets you select settings from +R, Sport, and Comfort modes to suit your preferences. The settings are retained even when the engine is restarted, so you can immediately enjoy your desired drive feel. In addition to the drive-mode switch, a dedicated +R button is always at the ready.
Driver Information Interface
The dedicated +R mode gauge displays the tachometer and the customizable Honda LogR™ driving information. An LED rev indicator at the top promotes precise shifting under severe driving conditions.
Steering Wheel
A specially designed leather-wrapped steering wheel with red stitching provides excellent grip, and you can enjoy increased steering responsiveness thanks to a torsion bar with 1.6 times more torsional rigidity than the previous-generation Civic Type R.
Serial Plate
Each Civic Type R has its unique serial number emblazoned on the instrument panel on a gunmetal-painted emblem.
